Personal data protection policy

www.notariesofeurope-conference.eu (‘the website’) is a website managed by the non-profit association “Council of the Notariats of the European Union”, whose registered office is located at 1000 Brussels, Avenue de Cortenbergh, 120, registered at the ECB under number 0479.579.975 (‘the CNUE’ or ‘We’) which presents conferences organised by the CNUE and allows participants to register.

We take great care to respect your privacy and your personal data (hereinafter, “your Data”). As such, we ensure compliance with the relevant regulations and, in particular, the European General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, hereinafter “GDPR”).

The purpose of this policy is to inform you about how we process your Data and the means available to you to control this use. For any request for further information, you can contact our Data Protection Officer:

Who is the controller of your Data?

As part of the management of the website, the CNUE is required to process your Data as a “Data Controller” within the meaning of the GDPR.

What Data do we collect, for what purpose(s) and for how long?

If you wish, you can register for the conferences organised by the CNUE and presented on the website.
To do this, we collect the following Data: your surname, first name, job title and the name of your organisation.
We will retain this Data for 1 year.

On the basis of which legal grounds do we process your Data?

In accordance with the GDPR, the processing of your Data is based on your consent (Art. 6.1(a) GDPR).

Is your Data disclosed to third parties?

As regards notaries established within the European Union
Under no circumstances will we pass on your Data to third parties for commercial purposes.

How is your Data protected?

The CNUE takes all necessary measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your Data, in particular by preventing it from being damaged, unintentionally deleted or accessed by unauthorised third parties.
Your Data is stored on a secure server in xxx.
Furthermore, in the event of a security incident affecting your Data (destruction, loss, alteration or disclosure), the CNUE undertakes to comply with the obligation to notify data breaches, in particular to the Data Protection Authority, which it is required to do under the GDPR.

What are your rights in relation to the processing of your Data?

As a data subject to data processing carried out by the CNUE, you have the right to exercise your rights under the GDPR.

In addition, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
Under certain conditions and in strictly defined circumstances, you also have the right to erase your Data as well as a right to object to the use of your Data.

Complaint

If you consider that the CNUE has not processed your Data in accordance with the regulations in force, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (https://www.autoriteprotectiondonnees.be).
